Vicarious Visions developed Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 and 2, and according to Hawk they were also planning on developing a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 Remake right up until the launch of THPS Remake in 2020. Unfortunately, it seems that all hopes for a remake of the following two games in the series have been squashed, as Tony Hawk himself revealed further plans were canceled after the developers were acquired by Activision. Remakes may not have the best reputation these days, but one of the most successful ones in recent years was the remake of the first two Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater titles.
